  • 1pm - pool - 60 minutes

A really good workout, I felt like I was actually accomplishing something:
-10 minutes up
- 4x(1-2-3) with 1 minute between each
-2×25 lungbuster (.5 minute between each)
-5 minutes of laps

Didn’t cool-down enough before the pool closed so I went on the bike for 10 minutes after.

  • 3pm - stationary bike - 36 minutes

Just an easy recovery day. Saturday I did a workout on the stationary bike before heading up to FP to see the girls tear it up at Regionals. Sunday I got in a little over 2 hours on the road bike in scenic Monson, MA. Some insano hills out there.

Found out today that it’s a stress reaction. I’ll see the doctor Thursday and find out how long I’ll be out for.

R&R

Sunday, November 6th, 2005

XC is over so I’m just resting up for a bit before getting into track. Pooling, biking, but nothing too crazy. No running until I find out what’s going on with my right shin. Whatever it is I think it will be fine b/c I caught it early. I’ll be rolling soon though.

Massive Update

Saturday, November 5th, 2005

Ok so I haven’t run since last Sunday. I’ve just been biking with a little bit of pool thrown in (and some days off completely). I’m trying to be smart about the shin situation so I’m doing what’s necessary. The rest of my body isn’t asking for the rest right now which kind of makes it more difficult than if I were completely worn down. But, I know that once February rolls around I’ll be happy I took it easy when I did (and well before the shin ailment got out of hand). So hopefully I’ll find out for sure next week what’s going on exactly w/ the ol’ tibia. For now…just a weekend of R&R in NJ and some nice bike rides when I’m back in Boston. Not running, but it’ll do.
